Telemis to supply complete picture archiving and communication system (PACS) to Groupement Radiologues Associés in Bordeaux

New projects ensure further investment by Telemis in services and innovation in the Aquitaine region

Louvain-la-Neuve, (Belgium), 11. September 2017 – Telemis, the medical imaging, archiving and transmission specialist, announces that the Groupement Radiologues Associés in Bordeaux chose Telemis's Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), on top of EDL's RIS Xplore Web and Cheops Technology's IT infrastructure solutions, to renew its PACS system and implement exchange and sharing of medical images within their offices.

After a detailed consultation and a competitive bid over the course of six months, the Groupement Radiologues Associés decided to entrust its management of medical images to Telemis. This group of twenty-six radiologists stretches across seven clinics and two radiology offices, and it covers all radiological specialties.

The Groupement Radiologues Associés selected version 4.80 of the Telemis archiving software as well as image transmission platform that features advanced diagnostic mammography and comparison functionality alongside a new version of “nomade” for users of mobile devices. This version “nomade” - the sharing of medical imaging data between medical practitioners and within and between medical facilities – was a key requirement for this project.

Telemis-Medical PACS 4.80 offers new tools to radiologists in specialized areas such as breast imaging as well as facilitating the comparison of images obtained from examinations conducted by other radiological disciplines. The latest version of the software can calculate the doubling time according to the RECIST analysis criteria and delivers instant fusion of image data obtained from multi-modal examinations. A re-designed viewing and treatment tool for DICOM-RT images will benefit radiation therapists by supporting collaboration and discussion across multiple disciplines. This new version 4.80 of Telemis-Medical PACS now offers native support for PDF DICOM files.

Mr. Nicolas Thomas, Director of the Groupement Radiologues Associés said "The project to modernize our information system is part of the implementation of enhanced collaboration between our various sites. After a detailed tender and more than six months discussion, we decided to select Telemis, EDL and Cheops Technology. The solution proposed is intuitive and offers excellent possibilities for communication and exchange. It fully meets our multi-site needs."

Philippe Mabille, General Manager of Telemis France added "With this project, Telemis builds its presence in the New Aquitaine region. We already have a large installed base in public institutions and now, Telemis is pleased to have also won the confidence of the Medical Imaging Group Bordeaux-Thiers and the SCM (Société Civile de Moyen) des Deux Rives of Bordeaux. These new projects encourage Telemis to further invest in the Aquitaine region in terms of services and innovation."

Remote and tablet users will have access to the full power of the PACS visualization applications to assess imaging information from almost any location. The secure transfer of images to and from external parties, including general practitioners, brings an unprecedented flexibility and will improve patient care.
