Telemis announces a 13% revenue increase and a 15th consecutive year of profitability as PACS specialist.

Telemis consolidates financial and market position by driving down debt and expanding project base

Telemis, the medical imaging, archiving and transmission specialist, has announced results for the 2016 - 2017 financial year that show a significantly strengthened balance sheet and a fifteenth year of continuous profitability. Alongside this, the company announced that it expects to see continued strong performance in the 2017 - 2018 financial year.

The 2016 - 2017 year saw revenues increase by 13% over the prior year, reaching €7,757,899, mainly due to strong performance in France, linked to new project wins based on Telemis' excellent track record. During the year, debt was reduced to around €0.5M and the balance sheet strengthened as equity rose over €7,000,000.

Telemis is currently installing the latest version (4.8) of their PACS software at all 232 customer locations. The new TM-Capture announced during the financial year allows JPEG images to be fully integrated into secure hospital workflows. In the meantime, research and development has started on the next version of the market-leading PACS software which will include the ability to link customer systems into a highly-secure TM-Community.

During the financial year, Telemis was chosen by Groupement Radiologues Associés in Bordeaux through a competitive bid process to renew their PACS system, including the implementation of EDL's RIS Xplore Web and Cheops Technology's IT infrastructure solutions. The new image transmission platform features advanced diagnostic mammography and comparison functionality alongside new visualization capabilities for users of mobile devices. The sharing of medical imaging data between medical practitioners and between medical facilities was a key requirement for this project.

Speaking at the Telemis Group's annual shareholder meeting, where the latest results were announced, Telemis Group CEO, Stephane Ketelaer said: "We had a strong year, achieving our fifteenth consecutive year of profitability as well as increasing revenue by 13% and reducing our debt significantly. We also announced some significant new products and our impressive track record enabled us to win new customers in key markets such as France, where RFPs increased significantly. We leave the year in a strong position with greater revenue, less debt, a stronger product portfolio and many new customers."

He added: "Our strong financial position allows us to deal with significant new projects easily, while continuing to deliver high levels of service quality to our existing customers. Customers and stakeholders can be assured that Telemis is, and will remain, a strong and significant player in the PACS market. We are confident of a strong financial performance and many more satisfied customers during the forthcoming year."
