TM-Acquisition is the entry point in the Telemis system for any new message/ document. It converts information, image or text into multimedia elements, allows users to compose new documents and to specify receivers’ lists. These multimedia elements are then encrypted, compressed and sent to TM-Server.

TM-Acquisition allows imports of data produced by medical devices. It allows for diagnostics on this data and/or aims at structuring the data into coherent, compressed and secure multimedia documents. The composition of a message imposes the specification of a receiver list and a multimedia element list.

An element is imported into the application based on its type. For the 3D picture element, one may choose inside all the DICOM files sent to the system (using the “storage” provider), a set of pictures or an entire acquisition sequence and the parameters wanted for the 3D image coding. For the text element, the user types the information directly into a window.
